Collioure moden art museum 0.500km. Even more art can be discovered at the Museum of Modern Art in Collioure, which showcases those artists who often considered the village yet another welcoming home. The museum is home to 30 galleries with works from around the world, helping give Collioure the title of “City of Painters.” The museum was founded by Jean Peské in 1930, and it was magnificently restored throughout the 1980s, and since 1990 the museum has awarded the “Germination Europe” prize to young European artists, The Fort Saint Elme, The old restored Windmill, Royal Castle, The Eglise Notre Dame des Anges. The grave of Antonio Machado in the Collioure cemetry and In the new cemetry the grave of Patrick O'Brian whose famous Novels of the British Navy in the Napoleonic Wars made him a literary celebrity .
