The house includes a good size fridge-freezer, oven and hob, microwave and washing machine. All the utensils, glasses and crockery are available in the house as well as essentials such as tea and coffee, oils, spices, etc.
The villa is located in quiet area of the village.
St Jean Pla de Corts is a small village with all amenities (Bakery, grocery shop, restaurants, Post Office, chemist).
There are two lakes 5 min walk from the villa with its various summer activities such as swimming, cable water surfing, water jump, adventure climb in trees, restaurant, snacks. Walking, running and cycling around the lakes is very popular locally all year round.
A cycle path is a few feet away from the villa where you can get to the beach or further into the Vallespir valley.
St Jean Pla de Corts is at the foot of the Pyrénées mountains where there are many signposted trails, a paradise for hill walkers. A local walk guide book is provided at the villa.
Spain is 15 mins away. The beaches are 20 minute's drive away (Argelès-sur-Mer, St Cyprien, Canet Plage, Collioure and its castle). Céret is less than 10 mins away with a very popular local market on Saturdays and its pedestrian streets, artisans shops, cafés and restaurants, its Modern Art museum, and supermarkets.
The villa is 30 mins away from Perpignan airport with direct flights from Stansted, Birmingham and Dublin during the summer season and Paris all year round. Perpignan train station is also 30 mins away. Car hire is available at both.
