This house sits on one of the most beautiful sites in the world. The ground floor consists of the bathroom, main bedroom and 'cabine' bedroom. Upstairs has a fully-fitted kitchen and open plan living/dining area. Every room offers superb views. The interior is quite small however there is ample outdoor space, the large sea facing terrace gets the sun from early morning until evening, in addition to the main outdoor dining table there is a light portable dining table which you can take to other parts of the garden to enjoy the different views or indeed to get in or out of the sun, there is also a bbq on wheels supplied. There is an exterior stone staircase which links the 2 floors. There is no interior staircase. It's located on a hill overlooking the sea and vineyards just a 5 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to the lively village of Port Vendres. It is on a private 2 acre site with pine and eucalyptus trees ideal for hanging the hammock in the shade from which you can enjoy the sea and vineyard views while listening to the wonderful sound of silence! There is a steep driveway up to the house so it is not entirely suitable for the elderly or those with mobility problems. As the interior of the house is quite small, for your own comfort, we feel that 6 people is the maximum we can take in one group. Previous guests have described this house as 'magical' and 'a little corner of paradise'. One week may not be enough!
The kitchen is small but fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, oven, hob and even a sea view from the kitchen sink!
The living room has one sofabed, a dining table and 6 chairs. A small flat screen tv and excellent wi-fi. There are vineyard and sea views from the windows.
The main bedroom has one double bed and one sofabed. It has a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Bed side lockers, a garden and sea view.
The cabine bedroom had one set of bunkbeds and vineyard views.

There is one bathroom with a wc, large shower and one sink, again electric heating and vineyard views.
There are electric convectors in each room.
Port Vendres hosts an array of festivals throughout the summer. It has some of the best restaurants in the region with lots of fresh fish. Nearby Collioure and Banyuls also have many summer festivals.
There is a large sea facing terrasse and 6300m2 of private land surrounding the house. The views are of sloping vineyards, mountains and the glittering Med. There is a large trampoline in the garden.
There is private parking on-site for approx 5 cars.

I'm Irish and have lived in France for about 20 years. My Partner is from Perpignan and we have a boy and a girl who love living in the Languedoc Roussillon. The all year round climate is fantastic allowing us to enjoy a healthy outdoor lifestyle. The pace of life is easy going here amongst the Catalans and we love the proximity to Spain. Here we have the best of both worlds!

|Why this location?||The house comes with a private plot of 6330m2 of garden which faces the sea and is surrounded by mountains and vineyards. It is incredibly rich in fauna and flora. It is the most peaceful place I have ever stayed. The surrounding walks are a true delight and within a 5 minute walk from the house you can be snorkeling in the Med. The local village has lots of fresh fish for sale, weekly markets and superbe local wine at very attractive prices. Let me tell you, Heaven is a place on earth and you can find it here!|
|Unique benefits of property||Having a fully detached house with a sea view in the middle of a massive garden walking distance to the beach - peace and privacy at it's best.|
This is the place to come if you want to get away from consumerism and the rat race. Once you step outside the front door you are in a natural park of flora, fauna, sea, beaches, walks, mountain cycling or simply sunbathing/swinging in the hammock. Excellent diving and snorkeling area. It's for nature junkies!
