We have just returned from a two week stay at the farmhouse and we had a lovely time. Really relaxing, a great pool which the children loved and a lovely old farmhouse, full of charm and character. There was lots to see and do in the local area including some great local markets and also lots of interesting places to visit further away. Edward and Annette were extremely friendly and accommodating and when the washing machine went wrong it was replaced with a new one the following day! Thank you for lots of happy memories.

Very nice place, good facilities and well equipped. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and the setting is idyllic.
The only downside is the cottage is close to the road and the traffic, though fairly light can be disturbing. Lovely area, not too far from shops and restaurants. Also great for a peaceful and restful break.

Owner response

Unfortunately last summer the timber company was felling trees a mile up the road from
us and the collection wagons although infrequent are large , felling has been completed
and now back to normal .

A fabulous quiet retreat. The children loved the pool and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.Would recommend this for a family who just what to get away from it all.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. In the middle of the countryside, the location allowed us to completely switch off and make the most of the cottage facilities, the pool, BBQ, and woodland walks.
However, a ten minute drive in any direction gets you to a small town, where you can shop or just enjoy the scenery.

Espace Hermaline, a an activity centre by a lake, is just 2km away, this is a great day out for the family. We took advantage of the lake zip wire, and the velorail, which was real fun.

I'd highly recommend this cottage and location to anyone wanting to escape from it all, the owners make you feel really welcome, whilst allowing you to roam their grounds at will.

We'll be back!
