We left the big city behind to start a new life in the french countryside, bringing our young son and one set of his grandparents with us, back in 2006. We had all been over to France several times and were struck by the beauty of South west France and all it had to offer. We settled in really well and our son is now as much French as he is English. We love where our gites are situated as although we are in a rural area it is only a 5min drive to all amenities.
