Our spacious gite sleeps 6 and is set over 4 floors, accessed by a beautiful French oak staircase.
The gite has stunning views over Bellac's 12th century church and the countryside beyond. It has a private courtyard garden and sunny lawned area.
The gite is perfectly situated, 2 minutes walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. Bellac has a swimming pool, cinema and theatre and beautiful countryside to explore.
The kitchen is on the first floor. It is fully equipped with a gas cooker and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Crockery, glasses, cutlery etc.are provided together with a coffee-machine. There is a dining table and chairs for 6. We have also provided a dining table and chairs in the lounge. A barbecue is available in the courtyard and tables and chairs are available for al fresco dining.
The laundry room is in the garage on the ground floor and comprises a washing machine, tumbledryer, iron and ironing board.

The lounge is on the first floor with doors on to the small balcony and views over the church and countryside. There is seating for 6 set around the marble fireplace. There is a drop leaf dining table and chairs.
There is a smart television which allows access to the internet, Netflix and a range of French tv channels. There is also an XBox with a selection of games for all ages.
A choice of books, dvds and boardgames can be found on the bookshelves in the lounge and the in the cupboard on the first floor landing.
There is a double bedroom on the second floor with views over the church and countryside. There is a large built-in wardrobe with a chest of drawers and a dressing table.
There is another double bedroom on the third floor with a hanging rail and a dressing table. The twin bedroom is also on the third floor and has a small dressing table and shelf unit.
A hairdryer is provided in each bedroom.
The family bathroom is on the second floor opposite the main bedroom. It has a shower over the bath and has a large dressing area with dressing table and chaise longue.
There is a separate toilet and wash hand basin for the 2 bedrooms on the third floor.
Heating is provided by electric wall heaters in each room. The lounge and main bedroom also have electric fires set in the fireplaces.
Fans are provided for use in the summer.

The property is not suitable for people who cannot manage stairs as all the accommodation is on the first floor and above.

|Why this location?||Bellac is a lovely old town situated in the heart of the Limousin. It has all the amenities you would expect to find in the way of cafes, bars, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. It is well placed to explore the local countryside with all it has to offer. There is a 12th century church in the middle of the medieval part of town. There are many walks near Bellac and there is a 9 hole golf course only 15 kilometres away in Mortemart.|

The church stands at the highest point in Bellac and dominates the town skyline. Because of the extended period between work starting on construction of the church in the 12th century and its completion in the 15th century you can see elements of both Roman and Gothic style architecture.
The outdoor pool is open from the middle of May until the end of August. There is a large 25m pool, a learning pool, a paddling pool and slides.
The cinema is open all year round and regularly shows a range of English speaking films.
This café sits by the banks of the Vincou with great views of the town and church. It offers a wide range of burgers along with a plat du jour.

This is a historic site commemorating the massacre of its inhabitants during the Second World War.
This lovely town is 12 kilometres from Bellac. It boasts the Collegiale de St Pierre which was constructed between the 12th and 15th centuries. Tours of the crypt are available. During the summer months there are regular farmers markets in the town square and there are also 3 race meetings at the Hippodrome de Sagne in June, July and August.
Montrol-Senard is a small village whose old buildings reflect the traditional life of a Limousin village in years gone by. From April to November many of the buildings are opened up to become a living museum. You will be able to explore the classrooms of the village school, houses, barns, bread ovens along with a cobblers, a blacksmiths and a forge.
This huge lake and its facilities are situated 25 kilometres from Bellac. There is a wide range of activities available. A new indoor/outdoor pool complex opened in May 2017 and is open all year round. There is a beach and children's playground and waterskiing, windsurfing and paddle boarding are all on offer. There is a high rope course for all standards with a zip wire finish over the lake. A café is open in the summer months.
Limoges is a city of many attractions. There is the cathedral with its gardens leading down to the river Vienne and the Boucherie area with its old traditional timber framed houses. Limoges is famed for its production of porcelain and there are many shops and museums dedicated to this.
Limoges can be reached by train from Bellac in 40 minutes.
Poitiers is situated in the Vienne region of France. There is a direct train service from Bellac and the journey takes 50 minutes.
The city is known for its architecture and churches. The well known Futuroscope theme park is on the outskirts of the city.
