This accommodation has been lovingly refurbished by the current owners Brigid and Tony Wright.

Kitchen and dining

Downstairs there is a comfortable kitchen/diner in which an extending dining table and a comfortable seating area are provided. There is also a tv.

Living rooms

Comfortable seating area downstairs in the kitchen/diner. Woodburner stove also provided.

Bedrooms

Two spacious bedrooms (one double and one with twin beds), the double room also has a small bed for a child if needed. Both with lovely views over the countryside.

Bathrooms

Spacious bathroom upstairs with a shower (complete with jets and seat), toilet and sink. Electric heater. Window overlooking the beautiful countryside.

Heating

There is a woodburner stove provided. First basket of logs is free of charge and electric heaters are available on request (please see charges in pricing section).

Nearby towns include Lussac les Eglises (7km) Le Dorat (15km) Bellac (22km) Montmorillon (26km) for all your shopping needs as well as historic sights and beautiful architecture. The beautiful city of Limoges is only an hour away.

Local markets for picking up a treasure or two.

Large equestrian centre in nearby Lathus St Remy.

Smaller villages and towns nearby and lakes and chateaux, all within a 15km radius.

Parc Bellevue (52km) for a fun day out with the children.

There are plenty of lakes for fishing in the area.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Brigid Mary Wright

I am English and happily married for many years to Tony. We have a Tibetan Terrier called Mika. I enjoy meeting new people, learning french, walking, reading, music and of course running a gite in this beautiful country.

Why this location? Peaceful and tranquil setting. Rural but close to neighbouring picturesque towns and villages as well as chateaux, lakes and local markets. Ideal for stopovers on those long journeys due to close proximity to the A20.
Unique benefits of property The property is spacious, comfortable and presented to a high standard. Private parking is available for two cars and it has its own private front door. There is an above ground swimming ground in the gite's private garden area. There is good wifi reception and a tv is provided with english channels (french channels will be provided soon).

Places to visit

The charming town of Le Dorat (15km) has shops and restaurant as well as bakeries. It also has its own railway station connecting it to Limoges and Poitiers, and from there to most other places in France.

The charming village of Mortemart (38 km) has been listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

Oradour sur Glane (48km) historic site of the massacre of 700 men, women and children on the 10th June 1944 is well worth a visit.
