looking for a house that accommodates five couples was never going to be easy. so many properties have limited bedrooms but say that they sleep ten. We found this property on another site last year but will be delighted to return and benefit from the Ferry discount in 2020 for a birthday celebration.
Lovely huge pool and grassed area, very well equipped house, games room for evening entertainment, nice size bedrooms with aircon, large outside eating area and the views across the valley are stunning. Beaulieu is just down the winding hillside with everything that you need; we enjoyed some lovely evenings out at restaurants but BBQing back at the house was just perfect.

thank you once again from us all.
still playing boules when we get together, I think we need to add a small tape measure to the box to save arguments.

Owner response

Glad to hear that you still enjoy the game. Many thanks once again, it was lovely to meet you all.

We stayed here last year and found it a perfect holiday home for a large family with Grandparents
A house with an apartment was just what we were looking for, plenty of apace in the main house for everyone during the day and allowed my parents to have some timeout when they wanted it.
The pool was so good that it was difficult to get the children out of it to enjoy the area.
Many thanks for everything, booking was so easy and the advice on activities in the area was greatly appreciated. We will return!

Owner response

Many thanks for a glowing review. You were so lucky with the weather in June.
Hope to see you again.

We have stayed here twice, once on our own and once with friends and are returning next year for a third visit. The position of the house above the valley is superb and we never tire of the views from the balcony. The property is on several levels with steps in between so ideal for families with slightly older children but not suitable for those looking for level access. The main bedrooms have air conditioning, which in a hot summer is essential for a good nights sleep. The swimming pool and sitting area around is excellent for relaxing, but be aware that there are no steps into the pool, so it is a jump in and pull yourself out. The house is well equipped, with a spacious lounge/kitchen on the main floor and a games room for children on the floor below. The top floor can be rented separately for your party and is ideal if you have more than one family staying at the property. The house and garden are well looked after, although the garden, being on a slope, is more useful for watching the butterflies and birds and is not suitable for ball games etc. The house is close to Beaulieu Sur Dordogne, with a supermarket within a mile at the foot of the hillside. There are plenty of interesting villages nearby; kayaking on the Dordogne, and good restaurants close at hand (car/taxi). Martel is about half an hour away and has a steam railway and good market and restaurants. This is a quieter part of the Dordogne than the more famous areas further west, but well worth discovering.

Owner response

Many Thanks for the review Mike.
Looking forward to welcoming you back once again in 2019!

Fantastic location with great pool for all the family. Local shops, bars and a great choice of restaurants just 5 mins drive into Beaulieu. The apartment is an added bonus when two families are sharing. Returning next year with family. Booking process was easy and Caroline replied promptly to all our questions. Many thanks for a fantastic holiday.

Owner response

Thanks again. Lovely to meet you all. I shall once again request wall to wall sunshine for your return. Best wishes, caroline
