|Jesamine||Self Catering||Flexible||2||4||1||Includes single bed on Mezzanine|
Jesamine is a stone built cottage dating from around 1900, probably once a farm workers home. It has been sympathetically renovated to keep its character. This is our own holiday home and we love to stay whenever we can. Therefore you will see that there are some personal items here and there. We like to make our guests welcome and hope they will enjoy staying in our cottage as much as we do.
The living room is very cosy, with original beams and tastefully furnished. There is an English tv with built in dvd player. No WIFI available.
The adjoining dining room is entered through an archway, and is open to the garden via french windows.
There is a newly refurbished and well equipped kitchen/diner with cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and seated area. Off the kitchen there is a large bathroom with bath, wc, vanity unit, and washing machine.
Upstairs, in the converted grenier, there is a double bedroom and a single bedroom, both with views over the village towards the woods. The large landing has a single bed, and screen for privacy.
There is a large garden with seating area at the back of the property as well as a small front garden which also has a table and chairs. There is also a bbq and ample parking at the side of the cottage.
The surrounding area is a haven for nature lovers with woods, lakes and rivers. Ideal for birdwatchers, ramblers, cyclists and anglers. Perfectly situated for touring the Loire region, and the wonderful chateaux of the area, or simply a place to relax and unwind.
We do accept a well behaved dog but must insist it is not allowed upstairs.
The property is not really suitable for small children.
We have English friends in nearby Saulnay who look after the cottage for us. They will check if everything is satisfactory on arrival and will be available during your stay, if required.

There are hundreds of lakes with wildlife in abundance. Plenty of places to walk and wonderful woodland paths. Public Hides to visit to watch the water birds and wild animals.
Pretty villages to pass through with stunning chateaux to visit. There are Fetes and brocantes most weekends at one of the surrounding villages. This is a lovely area to explore.
Plenty of lovely rivers and lakes to fish. You will need to buy a card du Peche for your fishing permit, available from the Tourist information.
Bellebouche has a beautiful beach with a huge lake. Water sports to take part in or walk through the woods.
This is our third stay at this location which in a nutshell sums it up. At the heart of rural France it suits mine and my wife's needs. There is no need to drive if you so desire as nature is all around you and as avid birdwatchers is ideal.
Property as advertised, clean and well maintained and help immediately available when needed.
We all love walking and wildlife. This cottage is in the heart of Le Brenne nature reserve. We sat in the garden under a dome of stars. The cottage was larger than we thought it would be and very comfy. Full of thoughtful facilities and character. Shops are a bit of a distance but thats the same wherever you go. The upside is the peace and quiet you get from the setting.SUPER value. We shall return.
P.S. don't run over the next door neighbours cats.
A wonderful peaceful location where you can relax and get away from it all. Ideal for exploring the chateaux and vineyards of the Loire. We have been 3 times and already booked our next stay as we enjoy the area and there is still so much to see.
Jesamine is a beautiful Gite and far succeeded our expectations. It is located down a very quiet lane and although there are other houses close by it is completely private and not overlooked. The cottage is solid, well equipped, spacious and clean. We loved the old floor tiles up stairs.
A great location for those wanting peace and quiet and yet not far from supermarkets and local amenities.
We have stayed at over 40 Gites in France and Jesamine is one of the best.
The owners were extremely helpful and responded quickly to any queries we had.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. This is our own holiday home and is very special to us. We are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday and hope you may return to the Brenne one day soon.
