About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Maureen Hindhaugh

We have spent many years travelling through France and Europe firstly on our motorcycle, then car and love the diversity of this country. Now we are retired, we spend quite a lot of time here in central France.

Year property purchased 2003
Why this location? We have visited this area for over 40 years (John met a French lad when he was at university in Leeds in the 70's who eventually persuaded us to buy in the hamlet) and love the quiet rural life here.
Unique benefits of property The cottage is all on one level which makes it suitable for people of all ages. There are many extras included in the rental price - just pack your bags and arrive! The large garden has sun and shade and some lovely places to sit and relax.

The accommodation is wonderful and an extra bonus was having a private garden area to enjoy.
The gite is very well equipped and immaculately clean.
Maureen and John, the hosts, will make you feel very relaxed and comfortable straightaway. Their integration with the French lifestyle is a real bonus and gives you an opportunity to experience an insight into rural French life.
The gite is an easy walking distance (approximately 1.5 km) to the town which has restaurants, bars and a supermarket for your needs.
There are many fabulous places to visit within a 1.5 hour drive.
We will return for future holidays to once again benefit from this superb property and location.

Owner response

Thanks for your kind words. We try ensure our guests have a relaxing, worry free stay and always hope everything is provided to that end. The garden is particularly important, and as we won second place in last years garden competition for the Indre, there are standards to be upheld! We look forward to welcoming you again.
