About this property

A Beautiful Bungalow in a Tranquil Area of France. This cottage/gite is in a village setting.

A beautiful new bungalow, fully equipped with oak flooring & timber work. Full central heating, it was built by us with an eye on detail. The bathrooms & kitchen areas are fully tiled with under floor heating, what's not to like so far!
We have 8 meg wi-fi, free to air UK tv, fully equipped kitchen in fact I think the only item we don't have is a dishwasher. The deck is fantastic (not by design) we sit there taking our first coffee of the day enjoying the warmth of the morning sun. In the middle of the day when it 28deg the shade it offers is needed & in the evening well, again we sit there enjoying the last minutes at sunset (obviously with a beer at this point).
The area/region is not wam bam, if you want wam bam then it's not for you. If however you need some R&R swimming and relaxation then come on in! We are supplying a great home with all year round facility's, it would be rude not to give it a go!

Kitchen and dining

Fully fitted & equipped, tiled, heated flooring. I could go on but it's what it looks great and works well. The peninsular unit dividing the kitchen is what we call the leaning are, because it's where people mill around chatting & drinking while the chef works there magic!
We have a freezer & washing in the utility room, in the kitchen we have fridge, gas range style cooker/oven, microwave. toaster, anyway loads of stuff!

Living rooms

The living/dinning room is spacious has an oak table & chairs, Ercol Saville seating for 4 people. it has radiator heating & if that's no enough there is a large 12kw wood burning stove that will melt steel! The lighting is recessed giving an uninterrupted ceiling line & again looks great & blends well with the bungalow.

What can I say, the master bedroom is large! fitted wardrobe, super king size bed (solid & I mean solid oak) it has a fully tiled en suite.
Bedroom two is large has a king size bed with free standing wardrobes & furniture.
Bedroom three is my office has a king a double bed but no other bedroom furniture in it.

All rooms have oak flooring and skirtings and are light and spacious.

Yep two of them one en-suite & one family! Please note that the bungalow is perfect for four people however it will sleep six but with a limited seating & bedroom furniture.

Yes, loads of it, full central heating via radiators & under floor & if that's not enough for you then the 12kw wood burner should just about melt your eyes!

Uk tv, 8 meg Internet & an assortment of games.

Garden and outside

If your not a gardener & you have 7000 m2 you either cement it or grass, it guess the answer! We have planted lots of new trees but the deer & stonking hot summers seem to be taking there toll on the plant life. The deck is a great area we love It, we added the car port because I could!
(Just in case you didn't guess we grassed it)

Parking and garages

You can park as many cars as you like in our drive, the drive is 50m long & by the bungalow you have spaces for seven motors. There is a garage available but only if you need it for emergencies, keys will be provided.

Visitor suitability

Unfortunately there is no access for wheel chaires and the bungalow is not disable friendly (sorry)
We do not accept children or infants, again the surfaces are not child friendly.
No pets or smokers, sorry but this is a new home and it's our home.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Alan Orme

Hi, we built the bungalow three years ago, we love it, where it is and the feel. The quality and care in the construction and finish is obvious, unfortunately life conspires against you now and again so we have to be in the UK for a year or two.

Year property purchased 2013
Why this location? It's all about access. It is called the centre of France for a good reason, Great country side, great access to all of France, an easy 8h from Calais, walk into St Benoit, good selection of local shops, lakes, rivers. bars and restaurants!
Unique benefits of property It has everything you need for a great holiday, because it was our home we hope you'll need for nothing. Full central heating, Wood burner, UK tv, 8meg internet, a deck that is great at breakfast & relaxing at sunset.

The Owner Recommends

St Benoit du Sault

A medieval picture perfect town almost original, vibrant bars, restaurants & markets for local produce, It's a typical French village. Chaillac has a large lake with man made beaches for swimming & fishing, the village square is always busy with the pubs & restaurants. Eguzon 12m away has a dam with man made beaches bars restaurants & water sports, again a vibrant village square. The area is teaming with things & places to see & do, my advice would be to relax take it slow & just soak it up!
