The Croft is one of 5 rustic gites at La Vieille Ferme that can be booked individually or together for larger group bookings. The gites are beautifully renovated from the original 19th Century farm buildings, hence La Vieille Ferme or 'The Old Farm'.

The Croft is an upside-down layout with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the ground floor and a spacious open plan kitchen, dining room and living room on the first floor

La Vieille Ferme is set on the edge of the small, typical village of Cléré du Bois. We enjoy views of the French countryside one side and immediate access to the village on the other, with the pretty church immediately opposite and the village bar, restaurant and shop just a minutes walk into the village.

La Vieille Ferme itself is set in a generous plot with plenty of space to relax or play and a large open park also just across the road in addition. Bikes are available on site to hire and equipment for badminton, boules, football and table tennis are all openly available. There is onsite parking and just adjacent to the site is also a free public car park

In the wider area, we are brilliantly placed at the centre of many points of interest. With the Brenne National Park with it's many lakes on our doorstep, there is plenty of outdoors activity such as cycling, fishing, walking, golf, swimming and bird watching. There are even lakes with sand beaches! Further more, we are in close proximity to some incredible Chateauxs, Frances largest zoo famous for it's panda and Futuroscope theme park.



Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with microwave, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler. Perfectly suited for dining with family and friends with a dining table and open plan layout to the living rooms also.

A part of the open plan upstairs with just the original wooden beams to separate, the living room has comfy sofas, a 4k flat screen tv with dvd player and traditional wood burner

Nick and Rafaela (English and Portuguese owners) reside in Bournemouth, England and make it our mission to offer a warm, authentic and memorable holiday experience for every guest that chooses to stay at La Vieille Ferme. Peter and Dianne are our wonderful onsite caretakers who reside on site through the season and know just what it takes to make sure our guests feel warmly welcomed, have help and knowledge to hand when they need it and that they feel thoroughly well looked after

Why this location? Many family holidays as a child made France and the Loire region a special place and when taking on the venture, La Vieille Ferme was the perfect fit. The location is ideal for the best of the climate, travelling times and proximity to places of interest. La Vieille Ferme and Cléré have the charm and the typical French countryside lifestyle that we love whilst also having the comfort and quality that we want our guests to enjoy!
