The property is a large maison bourgeoise built in 1886.
It is a family home sleeping up to 12 and able to provide generous accommodation for an extended family, 2 families, or group of friends. The property is extremely private and perfectly tranquil, set in over 2 hectares of land very close to the historic village of Genillé. It has its own pool which is heated allowing for swimming for 6 months of the year.
Luxurious, extremely spacious and very comfortable, the house is equipped with everything you need for the perfect holiday and it's location provides an ideal base for exploring the Loire Valley and visiting the grand chateaux of the Loire, any time of the year.
From 1 September to 19 December we also offer weekend bookings.

Wonderful restaurant next door and boulangerie 5 minutes’ walk from the villa. Mini supermarket and the brassiere 10 minutes’ walk from the villa. Four bicycles for tenant’s use.
Beautiful riverside town with a Sunday market and 2 chateaux including the Clos Lucé where Leonardo Da Vinci lived.
A wonderful fairytale chateau, large, beautifully set in parkland.
Superb chateaux of the Loire e.g. Loches, Amboise, Chenonceau to name just a few ! Some have a “son et lumière” light and music show during the summer months. Beautiful gardens of the Loire Valley e.g. Villandry and Chenonceau. Rose festival at Chedigny.
The famous chateau which virtually crosses the River Cher - everyone's favourite. A rowing boat trip under the arches is a must.

Parc de Beauval is a magical and unforgettable zoo. More than 5700 animals are housed: koalas, okapis, manatees, tree kangaroos, Tigers and white lions.
Fantastic villa , everything to hand and lots of space for all.
Thank you for taking the time to review Villa du Breuil. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Villa du Breuil and look forward to welcoming you back.
Lovely villa with plenty of space. Pool was also great but does not have a shallow end (approx. 5 feet deep throughout). Lots to do in close proximity (20-45 minutes drive away). We would recommend Amboise market (Sunday morning), boat hire on the river Cher and Chenonceau castle, and Beauval zoo (best zoo I've ever been to, you'll need 2 days to see everything so get there early)!
Thank you for your recommendation for some local activities. We do always love the boat hire on the river Cher. We are delighted that you enjoyed your time with us. We look forward to welcoming you back!
The property: is majestic but on a manageable scale. Four beautiful rooms on the ground floor accommodate: kitchen, dining room and two sitting rooms. The four first floor bedrooms are all ensure and the second floor has not only two further ensuite bedrooms but a massive TV/playroom. The garden is ridiculously large and the boys (we have four) spent many hours running around, playing table tennis and of course using the wonderful swimming pool, which is heated and so practical morning until night, but also meticulously clean.
Practicalities: unlike every other property I have rented over the past 25 years, this place has just everything! The right serving dishes, more bowls, good quality pans and knives and just all that a wannabe domestic God could want to exploit the wonderful kitchen and dual fuel (charcoal and gas if you prefer) BBQ.
Issues: a couple of the most minor problems arose during our glorious two-week stay and although not urgent were not resolved in days or hours, but, literally, within minutes there was Fanny or Henri at the house resolving them with a smile.
Area: beautiful and with markets and the most gorgeous restaurant in nearby Chedigny an absolute must - will have a Michelin star soon I predict. Kayaking, wine or grand castles on the river.
Summary: But most of all the house. It's so beautiful, so beautifully kept and decorated, so practical, I really cannot recommend it more highly - for me that is a total exception.
Thank you very much for your lovely review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed Villa du Breuil! We will certainly share your praises with Fanny and Henri.
This is an outstanding place to stay. The house is stunning, both inside and out and great care has been taken to make sure that there is everything you could possibly need. It manages to make you feel like the local chatelaine while still being family friendly. The local manager, Fanny, was lovely and very responsive to any questions or issues.
The village itself itself is small but there is a baker within walking distance and a small supermarket. Larger supermarkets are a 10 minute drive away. Highlights were seeing deer in the extensive grounds, the market and creperie in Loches, the castle of Chenonceau and the tree climbing experience (including a zip wire over a lake).
Thank you so much for your kind review and for sharing your impressions and experiences.
