About this property

Beautiful Renovated Barn Build In 1806 . This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

La Grange sits in a small hamlet on a back road surrounded by beautiful gardens, we have tables and chairs so guest can enjoy their breakfast in the lovely sunshine, to the rear we have a terrace and wooden decking with sun chairs, and another set of tables and chairs so on evening you can look over the countryside we you are having your evening meal, we also have a bbq for your use.

The house is a renovated barn with all the modern comforts ,it has a fully equip large kitchen dinner with seating for 6 people, a down stairs bathroom, a large lounge with seating for up to 6 people, British television/radio, internet (not unlimited).

A large kitchen/diner fully equipped with seating for 6 people, with washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, fridge, microwave, coffee-machine, large cooker with 5 burners and 2 ovens.
Also the store cupboard is stocked with oils, seasonings, coffee and teabags etc.

Living rooms

Large comfortable lounge with seating for 6 people, British television and radio, dvd player ,selection of cd and dvd, internet, a small library and a wood burning stove.


Bedroom 1 a large king size bed, wardrobes, bed side tables, reading lights this room has an en suite.
Bedroom 2 a queen size bed, a single bed, wardrobes, bedside tables, reading lamps, the family bathroom is just across the hall.


En suite to master bedroom: shower, toilet and wash basin.
Family bathroom : shower, toilet, wash basin.
Ground floor bathroom : shower, toilet, wash basin.


The house benefits from fully central heating there are two wood burning stoves, one in the lounge and one in the kitchen/dinner.


British television and radio and the internet (as we live in the countryside the internet is provided by satellite so it is limited) a collections of DVD and CD,s and a small collection of books .

Garden and outside

Lovely private garden with lawns and flower beds, tables and chairs, sun chairs and sun umbrellas.

Hard stand parking in the garden.

For Visitors with limited mobility one of the settees in the lounge turns into a very comfortable double bed plus the fully equipped down stairs bath room .

The area is ideal as we are right in the middle of France we have the Loire valley to the north with all the beautiful Chateaux about an hours drive, closer to home we have the beautiful town of Loches ,Tours and Poitiers and lovely small villages all around most having their weekly markets ,to the east we have the Brenne a national park full of lakes a bird watcher paradise also lovely beaches and lovely flat walking or cycling the Vendée coast can be reached in about three hours and Paris is less than two hours by train
