QUICKBOOK ADVERTISEMENTS

The following terms and conditions apply to all Quickbook transactions on the Holiday France Direct website, www.holidayfrancedirect.co.uk. Holiday France Direct is a brand belonging to BAI (UK) Ltd.

In these conditions, the terms ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to persons who use the Quickbook service and ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to BAI (UK) Ltd acting on behalf of BAI SA (France) trading as Holiday France Direct or Brittany Ferries.

Quickbook is our on-line booking service which some property advertisers have selected as their preferred booking means. Property advertisers offering the Quickbook service have the Quickbook logo on their property advertisement page.

Advertisers who have not opted to use Quickbook can be contacted using the details on their property advertisement.

In all cases, when you book a property via the Holiday France Direct website, your booking contract is direct with the advertiser. We are not party to the booking contract and have no liability in this respect.

How it Works

We provide the Quickbook service to help simplify and speed up the booking process. To use this service, we charge a booking fee of £34 (vat included) which is payable to us by debit or credit card at the time of booking. The advertiser will discount the rental rate by the same amount per booking so that you don’t pay any extra for using the Quickbook service.

When you use the Quickbook service, the advertisers are advised by us of your booking request, including any special requests, and are obliged to contact you within 48 hours to confirm the booking with you, should you not hear from them please contact them direct. We recommend that you check all your booking details, including the rental, with the advertiser at this point. It is important to wait for confirmation from the owner before committing to your travel arrangements. Your selected dates will be unavailable to other guests unless the advertiser refuses your booking or you cancel your booking.

When you book using Quickbook, we will send written confirmation of the booking request you have made to the email address that you provide. Please check this email carefully and tell us straightaway if the information is incomplete or inaccurate. At the same time, we will provide you with a travel account number which gives you access to discounted passenger and car fares on Brittany Ferries services. This travel account number must not be given or made available to anyone else. In the event that you give the travel account number to someone who is not authorised to use it, then we reserve the right to apply the full applicable fare to any bookings made by that person using the travel account number.

When the advertiser confirms your booking request, the advertiser’s property booking terms and conditions apply and the advertiser will advise you of specifics such as payment details. Should you decide to cancel your booking for whatever reason, the booking fee of £34 (vat inclusive) is not refundable.

Accuracy of Website Information

The information about the properties advertised on the Holiday France Direct website including pictures is provided by the advertiser and is believed to be correct when you book. We do not accept responsibility for inaccurate, incomplete or missing information on property advertisement pages or for details that change subsequent to your booking.

Our Responsibility for your QuickBook Booking

We are responsible for the provision of the Quickbook booking process to capture and communicate your booking request to the advertiser. Your booking contract is with the advertiser and the advertiser’s booking conditions apply. We are not responsible for the accuracy and content of your booking request nor are we responsible for the provision of the booked arrangements. In the event that the Quickbook booking process fails for whatever reason, including non availability of the dates that you have requested, our liability is limited to the booking fee of £34 (vat inclusive).

Complaints

If you encounter a problem whilst on holiday at the property advertised, you must raise this straightaway directly with the advertiser or their representative. We do not accept responsibility for complaint resolution nor do we inspect the properties that are advertised on the Holiday France Direct website.

ALL OTHER ADVERTISEMENTS

The following terms and conditions apply to bookings made direct with the advertiser via their contact details (normally via the e-mailed contact form or by phone) featured on the Holiday France Direct website, www.holidayfrancedirect.co.uk. Holiday France Direct is a brand belonging to BAI UK Ltd.

In these conditions, the terms ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to persons who use the contact form and contact details to book direct with the advertiser and ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to BAI (UK) Ltd acting on behalf of BAI SA (France) trading as Holiday France Direct or Brittany Ferries.

Booking Contract

In all cases, when you book a property via the Holiday France Direct website, your booking contract is direct with the advertiser. We are not party to the booking contract and have no liability in this respect.

We advise you to check your booking details, including the rental, with the advertiser. We are not responsible for any mistakes or misunderstandings in connection with the making or processing of your booking arrangements.

Travel

The advertiser will provide you with a travel account number to access discounted passenger and car fares on Brittany Ferries services. This travel account number must not be given or made available to anyone else. In the event that you give the travel account number to someone who is not authorised to use it, then we reserve the right to apply the full applicable fare to any bookings made by that person using the travel account number.

Data Protection

We take our responsibilities to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) very seriously. We ensure reasonable measures are taken to store and process data securely, be that by us or by our third party suppliers. Equally, we take great care to communicate clearly at all relevant points how data is stored and used by Holiday France Direct, and BAI SA as Data Controller for the purposes of website business, analysis and profiling, GDPR compliance being an integral part of our business systems planning process.
