Alsace-Lorraine offers a large range of festivals ranging from medieval music festivals to jazz.
9 - 14 April 2018 - The Jazzdor Festival takes place in Strasbourg every year. The festival was created to promote European (especially French) musicians and jazz music in general.
4 - 14 July 2018 - Colmar International Festival gives pride of place to classical music. This festival is internationally renowned, thanks to their continuous will to reach excellence. Every year the festival has a tribute to a great musician, country or instrument.
10 - 20 October 2018 - Nancy Jazz Pulsations is not only a jazz festival. There is truly something for everyone with a large range of different artists and music styles ranging from rock’n roll to hip hop and of course, jazz. The festival has different venues throughout the city and is a major event for Alsace Lorraine.
These festivals are organised throughout July and August are located in a different village on the Route des Vins each weekend. They are the perfect opportunity to not only discover local wines, but also the traditional dishes that perfectly match them. These wine festivals showcase Alsatian folklore and tradition and will give you the chance to enjoy Alsatian music and dances. Over the years some villages have built up an excellent reputation and their festivals are now major touristic events.
