Since its creation in 1991, the Lyon Biennial has worked as a 'trilogy'. As the artistic director gives a word to the curators participating, this word will decide the theme of the event for the three coming years. 2015 was the beginning of a new trilogy, with the keyword 'Modern'.
Alternating every year between a contemporary arts event on odd years, and a dance event on even years, the 2018 edition will offer a total of over 40 shows, including original creations presented to the public for the first time. This eclectic line-up has plenty for dance-lovers and anyone who is just curious. They can discover your choreographers and more established talents, as well as learning how to dance.
